Library Teaching Technology Series #1: Nearpod - Levin College of Law

Library Teaching Technology Series #1: Nearpod - Levin College of Law | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
As the Digital Services and Technology Librarian, I’d like to focus this entry on an online teaching tool that I’ve incorporated into my Legal Research class. I love anything that promotes interactive participation and innovation—the key subword there being ACTIVE. There is passive participation when my students listen to me and follow along, but I think they can absorb more by active involvement. I believe it also makes them a unique part of a collaboration in the classroom setting instead of just another seat-filler. Feeling good in the classroom maximizes openness to learning.

Mentimeter is one of the tools that I regularly feature when talking about gathering realtime, online feedback from students. It's a great platform for quick, informal polls. Mentimeter is also great for making fun quiz games to use for review activities in your classroom.

This looks like a fantastic tool. You can use the search engine like a corpus to look for vocabulary and grammar you want to teach and then the site will make the activity for you. Lots of ready made quizzes there already too.
